Our History
Silky Oaks Medical Practice was established originally in 1985 by Silky Oaks Children's Haven. The service was established to support families in the local community holistically. In 1987 Dr. Paul Mercer purchased the medical practice from Silky Oaks Children's Haven and has provided care to patients in the Wynnum Manly area since. The practice has trained over 100 GP registrars since then. In 2017 Matthew and Sara Mercer purchased the practice and retained its family-owned niche.
